Alamo Fireworks Nevada Megastore Commercial on YouTube

For you West Coast fireworks fans, here is the TV ad we’re running this June/July for our store in Nevada:

Check it out!

New Hampshire Store Photos

Our store is *almost* there.  Just need one more permit (out of 6!) and we’re open… Well, we’re then allowed to put fireworks in the building.  Here are some photos of the place.  The signage looks great and very professional.  Something to be proud of after 18 months of work!

Inside the store.  Notice lots of room for fireworks!

New Hampshire Fireworks Store Photos!

We’re almost complete.  It’s been a wild ride during 18 months of work from property acquisition to permitting to selecting a contractor to finding the money to pay for it to the final touches now,

At over 7,500 sq feet, this is the largest and nicest fireworks store in the New England area.  We’ll have tons of space to fill with great product for northeastern fireworks fans.

We’ll have some sweet channel letter signage on the front of the store and not just a white building.  The parking lot will handle 50+ cars.  Our biggest (and bluest) store yet!  NOTE: I am informed that the store is truly gray but it looks blue to me.

Here are some photos of the store almost ready to go.  We expect to be open early May.

Our new Fireworks in Pahrump, NV Billboard

Due to the recession, we got a great deal on a billboard coming into Pahrump, NV for our fireworks store in Amargosa Valley, Nevada.  Here is a photo:

Guadalupe County Reneges on Deal With Fireworks Sellers

After multiple meetings starting in late November and an agreement with Guadalupe county (Seguin, TX) that they would implement a Safe Area plan for fireworks sales and use, the county reneged on the deal late this afternoon of the 16th.  That is a short 3 days prior to our opening.

Other vendors had spent multiple thousands of dollars and many hours of time on acquiring safe shooting sites for the county’s residents.  That money is now a waste as the County Judge and emergency management coordinator went back on the deal.

Dan Kinsey had encouraged other fireworks people to stay away from this county meeting.  Guess it was a mistake.  Here is the notification email (clearly, fireworks vendors are a third kind of stone cutter…;-D)

As you know the Fireworks Ban / Disaster Declaration was on the Commissioners Court Agenda this morning as a discussion item so that the Commissioners and other officials could express their views and the sentiments of their constituents.  All four Commissioners were against the implementation of safe areas and supported a total ban on fireworks.  The County Sheriff also spoke out against the safe areas and in favor of a total ban.  Many of the Fire Chiefs also spoke out in favor of a total ban.  The general sentiment was that the safe zone concept was a worthy idea but everyone felt given the potential influx of fireworks users Bexar, Comal, and other counties with a total fireworks ban now was not the time to try the safe zone idea and hope it worked.

While both the County Judge and myself remain in favor of trying safe zones, given the unanimous support for a total fireworks ban by every other County Official the Judge will issue a Disaster Declaration with a total ban on fireworks tomorrow.  We appreciate your efforts and hope the situation turns out more favorable during future fireworks seasons.

Two stone cutters were asked about their job.  The first said, “I cut stones into blocks.”  The second replied, “I’m on a team that is building a cathedral”   - What kind of stone cutter are you?
